Organics Brasil participates in Paris Trade Show

2008-10-13

SIAL – Europe’s major International Foods Trade Show – held on October 19-23, in Paris, will host seven OrganicsBrasil member companies, which in their respective exhibition booths will showcase product samples for tasting, and participate in business rounds.

Ming Liu, executive coordinator of OrganicsBrasil talks about this trade show as an excellent business opportunity in Europe: “SIAL is visited by 140 thousand people, most of them distributors, and the most important European wholesalers. This year, the organics segment will be located in an exclusive area, following the trend set by ANUGA (World Food Market), last year. This is a clear sign that the organics market is growing in Europe. Our main goal is to showcase Brazil as a country with high value-added products.”

The Organics Brasil project results from a concerted action taken by the private sector – Development Promotion Institute and Federation of Industries of Paraná – and the government agency Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Export and Investments Promotion Agency). It sets up a solid institutional base created to strengthen the Brazilian organics sector and make it possible for this industry to grow in the international market.
