Registration for the contest on work related to the Millennium Development Goals is open. The contest was created by the Teaching Institutions Center of the Entrepreneurial Citizenship Council of Paraná, and the Federation of the Industries of the State of Paraná, with the support of the “Nós Podemos Paraná” movement. The main purpose is to motivate the academic and business communities to publicize work related to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Registration is open until October 31, through the site www.nospodemosparana.org.br, where the full invitation for bidding is posted.
 
Interested parties may register in three different categories: reports on implemented projects or projects undergoing implementation; proposals for MDGs-related projects; and articles on public implementation policies. Prizes will be awarded to projects related to the development of one or more MDGs. MDGs are a series of socioeconomic goals proposed by the UN, in the fields of income generation, education, health, gender issues, and the environment.
 
The works selected will be announced on November 28th. The award ceremony will be held on December 5th, at Cietep, in Curitiba.
