The Ministry for Agrarian Development (MDA) extended the deadline for businesses and business networks wishing to participate in BioFach Latin America 2009 to Sep. 30. The trade show will be held in São Paulo city, October 28-30, at the Transamerica Expocenter. 15 businesses will be chosen from the country’s five regions.

BioFach Latin America is a business trade show geared to the organics industry that provides high visibility and the opportunity to launch new products, hold product tastings, schedule visits, meet suppliers and buyers of organic products and prospect and close business deals. The selection of the companies that will exhibit their products at the fair will be based on criteria like certification, whether the enterprise is a formal community effort in family agriculture, and whether the businesses are ready to enter domestic and foreign markets, among other things.

The interested parties must first fill out a participation proposal application at http://comunidades.mda.gov.br/portal/saf/programas/agroindustrias/2597843 and then send the required documents to feiraseeventos@mda.gov.br.
