Exporters from Paraná already feel the benefits of using the Digital Certificate of Origin
Exporters from Paraná are already experiencing the benefits of using the Digital Certificate of Origin (DCO). Available since May, this mandatory shipping document allows speedier certification compared with regular processes. In Paraná, one of the official bodies issuing the Certificate of Origin is the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (Fiep), through the International Business Center (CIN). The Certificate of Origin is an official document that ensures that an export product is in fact from a specific country. Through this document the exporter declares that the goods to be shipped comply with the requirements established by economic trading agreements among countries and with the standards of origin pertaining to each agreement. Fiep is the first institution in the state of Paraná to issue the Digital Certificate of Origin, a partnership with the National Confederation of Industry (CNI). For the exporter, the chief advantage of this new improvement is more speed in getting the document.
