Global Scope

In 2006, IPD – then called Development Institute of Paraná – had its name changed to Development Promotion Institute. The acronym remained the same, but the institute expanded its local action to a more global scope. This change took place as a function of Project Organics Brasil, one of IPD’s principal initiatives, a project that enables Brazilian businesses to participate in various international events of the organics industry. Additionally, N2S – Sustainable Businesses Center, following the same trend, started to prospect domestic and foreign partners for its projects.

Identifying Demand

Demand is the buzzword of today’s world. As of the start of the new millennium, social, environmental, and economical challenges began to put pressure on society as a whole, and any demand planning must include global sustainability as part of their local actions. Faced with this paradigm, currently IPD is an agent that specializes in identifying and diagnosing social, environmental, and economic demands for both government and civil society, and their various productive sectors.

Developing Proposals

By focusing on demand, IPD is qualified as an institution capable of developing work proposals with broad characteristics, since its flexible scope of action ranges from the micro to the macro, and vice-versa, in an intuitively and dynamical way. This ensures its partners proposals that are developed to meet all kinds of local and global demand. The quickness in coming up with these work proposals is also related to IPD’s ability to develop them fast and accurately, on demand. Proposals are formatted to include a presentation, an introduction, demand identification and diagnosis, activity chronograms, detailed budgeting, and expected results forecast.

High Management

The participation of business leaders in IPD’s high management positions situates the Institute as an avant-garde institution, fit to spearhead actions geared to a new development model. A group of independent consultants comprised of professionals from several areas, from the public and private sectors, are in charge of managing projects. Specialized professionals are hired based on the needs of each individual project.
