The Sustainability Indicators Regional Base Observatory - ORBIS

The Sustainability Indicators Regional Base Observatory (Orbis) results from the effort made by institutions of Paraná, a guided synergy that champions the expansion of issues concerning sustainable development. Its mission is to contribute to promoting sustainable development in partnership with actors from the social, public, and private sectors, organizing and monitoring sustainability indicators systems; producing studies, analyses, and knowledge; providing support to thinking and decision-making processes regarding Paraná’s future.

A member of the UN’s Habitat Observatories World Network, Orbis is the first urban observatory experience in the world to be funded by businesses in search of better living conditions for all. It is a program of the Development Promotion Institute (IPD), supported by the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (FIEP), and certified by UN’s Global Urban Observatory (GUO).
