Organics Brasil Project in partnership with the Brazilian Exports and Investments Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Development Promotion Institute (IPD) will participate in three important trade shows in the second semester of 2010: Biofach Japan (Sep. 21-23, in Tokyo, Japan); Biofach America (Oct. 14-16, in Boston , USA); and Biofach Latin America (Nov. 3-5, in São Paulo, Brazil). The project gathers 74 Brazilian organic products exporting companies and closed the first semester with US$ 12 million in sales in international trade shows and other events of the industry. Trade shows provide great visibility in the food, beverage, textile, and cosmetics markets and are excellent opportunities to strengthen the relationship among the members of the Project and international entrepreneurs. "By the end of the year we hope to expand our business, particularly in value-added products such as cosmetics and textiles. In Japan, there is a huge demand for organic mate and fruits. In the USA, the favorites are sugar and raw materials for food processing. The prospects are good and Brazilian organics have a sure market demand", says Ming Liu, the Project´s executive coordinator.
During Biofach Latin America,to be held in Brazil, the novelty will be the promotion of the Buyer Project. Apex-Brasil and IPD will bring representatives and retailers from abroad for business rounds with Organics Brasil Project member companies and companies that are initiating their export processes.
About Organics Brasil Project: the Project was created to promote Brazilian organic products in the international market and so it gathers several companies and producers around a single brand, all of which comply with the stricter socio-environmental standards. Organics Brasil Project was born from a joint initiative between the private sector with the IPD (Development Promotion Institute) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Exports and Investments Promotion Agency).
